The Beginning: The New Renaissance Rising Worldwide Arts Renewal Celebration, on Nov 21, 2009

The vision for “New Renaissance Rising: Arts Renewal Celebration” day was to spark churches, artists, arts supporters and organizations across the world to take that date (Nov 21st) to start or intensify the faith/art groups, initiatives, projects and relationships in their circle of influence. It also showed spiritual solidarity with the artists and religious leaders meeting on that day at the Vatican.

Local “Arts Renewal Celebrations” were as simple as single artists praying with the video we provided, to small groups getting together for a time of prayer and conversation, to large meetings with worship, a speaker, corporate prayer, intercession and art-making. One church in Brisbane, Australia incorporated the event into a day-long arts festival.
